Kaizad !

A sense of exclamation, a million questions....i haven't come to terms with the reality yet.
It was like we met up at Mumbai last evening, he drove down all the way from South Mumbai to Andheri.
We sipped coffees. We spoke about plans for future... he casually stated "Su Future Chodeena"

He chose to leave us wondering abt our own messy lives.

I will not tell you anything about him. You are not worth it, no one is.
I didn't deserve to know him either. i was blessed. Was best friends with an angel.

Fucker is gone .... Su Future Chodeena !

Signing off !

There are things about us that make us human, then there are things that make us worse than animals.

What a bad note to start blogging. But today, i start. With no choice left but to voice my opinion about what i saw at Delhi.

This is the capital of secular India. The <strike>great</strike> India who is world's largest democracy and probably the biggest political platform one can ever look at. We are known for our hospitality, food, simplicity <strike>and</strike> <strike>warmth</strike> globally.
My American counterparts can't wait to chomp on butter chicken, kanda bhajjis and Dal Makhani. We, the people of North India would know the second cousin of our neighbor's wife, 'coz thats how families are... thats how neigbors are. We are those people who wake up at 5 in the evening, go for a walk, do all the random Yoga things, do the loud HA HA HA in the friendly park to clear our throats and respiratory system. Mr. Khanna seems to enjoy it. He got operated for throat cancer recently.

Last evening, 6:10 p.m onwards, all of it changed.

We witnessed 5 blasts in a span of 45 minutes. A vehicle blasted high enough to get entangled in Electricity cables overhead. About 15 ft. from ground. The blasts happened 32 kms away from where i live. I did not hear them in person, i was not there. Media was.
In fraction of a second, it all ran thru' my mind. Day before, Ranjan, Satinder & I had been to Prince Pan Shop. Satinder wanted a cola after the food. 4 days ago, i was at CP, parking my car to visit the bookstore at Gopaldas building. Janpath, the place where my friends from filmdom and goras dig junk jewellary and ethnic wear.I watched all of it get ripped apart.

The TV showed bodies being carried, the police, and a lot of other stuff.

You know the feeling when someone snatches away your favorite toy and asks you to shut up. You can't hear them, your eyes are glued to the toy. You pray that the person doesn't twist it in some harmful way. You've been breathing all this while 'coz THAT toy has been your friend all the while. You are deaf. You are numb and then you are hit so bad that reality doesnt dawn....pain does.

My Delhi, Our Delhi, Dilli......was raped.

She was stripped oh her Gol Gappa Smiles, stripped of her Cycle Rickshaw rides, stripped of her Udhar Khata Banarasi Paanwalas, stripped of her Trust and Grace.

Hastily, cell phone networks got jammed... Messaging worked intermittently... "All well ? Pray to God" were exchanged...

An ex colleague was untraceable. He was found at 4, All fit and fine, blank eyed, tired... disturbed.
Once could see the reflection of destruction in his eyes. The man saw Green Grass turn RED. He has not been able to drink water in the last 16 hours that we know of. Sleep, No. Hallucinations, Yes. Since, 12 in the night...all of us have gone and donated blood one by one at the nearby hospital.

I live in an area where there are 26 bunglows in a row. All of us work at Delhi. Some own businesses. We all gathered for our usual morning walk in the park nearby. Kids were incidentally fresh today. Their innocent non involvement and unawareness made us smile. "Khanna sahab, Kaise hain aaj" went unanswered. He just raised his arm in affirmation of his good health.

The walks were disturbed. There were no discussions about Mrs. Gupta's jethani's Son's wedding.

All of us assembled for the Yogic Respiratory cleaning. The Ha ha ha.
We squealed like rats. We cringed. Mr. Khanna for once, stood up and annouced that he would've been happier with Cancer. Tears were let go. The ha ha ha was paralysed. You know whats Deafening Silence ? We do.

As a grade 5 student, i remember reading out an Essay on My India. I will not read it for you. My India has changed. It has grown and as you grow big and old, you invite diseases. India has invited parasites and leeches. I don't care how they need to be removed, but they need to.

My Taj Mahal is smeared Red and thats not the color intended.

I wish we had a Jadoo Ki Jhappi for each one us and that it could be ordered on eBay.
I would bid the highest i could and send it to those who feel deprived and left behind and get motivated to commit such acts of violence.

I wish, i could trade all the world's pain for my life.
I wish we gave a damn about Space Missions and hartals (strikes) and focussed more on recognizing what we have around us.
I wish for once, the entire world stopped being mad at each other just for one day and breathe easy.
I wish my arms were longer so that i could embrace more people at once.

An eye for eye only ends up making the whole world blind. - Mahatma Gandhi

Khuda Haafiz, Allah Khair , Sat Sri Akaal, Dhanyawaad.
